BIOGRAPHY

In the mid 80’s I worked for the Martha Wetherbee Basketshop in Sanbornton learning Shaker ash basket basics and then alone for nearly ten years in my studio perfecting material processing and control, technique and formulas.

I was juried into the League of New Hampshire's Sandwich Gallery in 1996. Sandwich Home Industries, opened in 1932, started the fine craft movement that is now known as the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. In 1997, I was state juried into the League where I served as a member of the standards committee for six years, chairperson for the last year and am currently a basket juror.

Today I have a comfortable studio in the home Dave and I built in the woods on the “back 40” of my famiy farm along with 3 rescue cats, 1 rescue dog, 1retired race horse and 8 very entertaining guinea fowl. Life is good.
